BIOGRAPHY
After a 20 year sabatical from creating and performing music, Gavin Lee McDaniel returns. The BiPolar Bears is an experiment - 2 bands in 1 (at least for this disk). The first 3 songs are semi-autobiographical songs about love and lost love. The second half of the disk is spoken word haikus over different types of background music. Previously the drummer for Primitive Romance and singer/synthesist for synthpop bands The Usual and Hysterical 'Droids, Gavin "retired" from the music industry to support his family. 2007 was a tumultuous year. Diagnosed with mixed-state Bipolar Disorder in the summer, Gavin lost his job, his home, his 20+ year marriage and more to the manias and depressions he went through as his life spun out of control. He is currently taking medication and in therapy to regain the control he had lost.
